St. Mary's College Hosts National Seminar on Microbial Innovations and Launches SMC-ASM Student Chapter

St. Mary's College (Autonomous), Thrissur, Kerala, successfully hosted a National Seminar on "Microbial Innovations Towards Sustainable Solutions" on October 6, 2025.

The event also marked the official Inauguration of the SMC-ASM Student Chapter for Life Science Students.

The program was sponsored by the American Society for Microbiology (ASM) and co-sponsored by the CUSAT-NCPOR Centre for Polar Sciences, CUSAT-Kochi, Kerala. The seminar and chapter inauguration were key initiatives aimed at promoting advanced study and student engagement in microbiology and sustainable development within the Life Sciences.
