Research Committee

The Research Committee constituted in 2005 following the first NAAC accreditation promotes research culture in the faculty and students. The Research Committee includes the Principal, the Vice Principal, and faculty representatives of PG departments. The Research Committee played an important role in getting the Research Centre of the Department of Mathematics sanctioned by the University. The Committee coordinates the research activities of the College. Research Committee initiated the establishment of a Research Forum that takes care of the research activities of students

• Strengthen research culture in the faculty and students
• Encourage faculty to apply for research projects
• Encourage faculty to do research leading to Ph. D
• Encourage Departments to apply for national/international seminars/ workshops
• Purchase more books/periodicals and subscribe to online resources
• Publish separate journals for Pure Sciences and Applied Sciences, Humanities and Social Sciences
• Enlighten the faculty on the availability of research grants of different funding agencies
• Motivate the faculty to publish their research findings in refereed journals
• Encourage faculty and students to present papers in national/ international seminars
• Motivate faculty and students to conduct surveys, analyze the findings and disseminate the information
• Encourage faculty to engage in consultancy and generate fund
• Encourage faculty and students to do research which is of benefit to the community
• Instill research culture among students through their UG and PG projects.
• Interactive sessions with faculty pursuing research and students
