Snehasangamam” Celebrates Compassion and Togetherness at St. Mary’s College

The Department of Social Work at St. Mary’s College (Autonomous), Thrissur, in collaboration with the Pain and Palliative Care Society, Thrissur, and the Social Work Apostolate, St. Mary’s Convent, organized “Snehasangamam” on 20th September 2025 at the college campus. The event was inaugurated by Rev. Sr. Nithya Jose CMC, Local Manager of St. Mary’s College and Sister Superior of St. Mary’s Convent, Thrissur.

The programme was graced by distinguished guests including P. V. Mohanan, Dr. B. Divakaran, Director of the Institute of Palliative Care, Rev. Sr. Dr. Meena K. Cheruvathoor CMC, Principal of St. Mary’s College, Mr. E. L. Johnson, Treasurer of Pain and Palliative Care Society, and Mr. Santhosh T. P., President of Rotary Club, Thrissur.

Students, palliative care patients, and their companions presented cultural performances, creating a joyful and inclusive atmosphere. Around 100 participants attended the event, which highlighted the values of compassion, togetherness, and social responsibility. The programme also fostered empathy and social commitment among students, equipping them with essential life skills.
