ChronoCode: Tracing the Timeline of DNA Fingerprinting

In honor of the 78th birth anniversary of Dr. Lalji Singh, the Father of DNA Fingerprinting in India, the Department of Biotechnology, St. Mary's College (Autonomous), Thrissur, is organizing ChronoCode—an intercollegiate scientific presentation competition. This event invites UG and PG students to delve into the past, present, and future of DNA fingerprinting, highlighting its origin, applications in forensics and medicine, ethical and legal implications, and future innovations.

Participants can present up to 15 slides in English within 12 minutes. There is no registration fee. The event will be held on 10-07-2025 at 10:00 AM in Chavara Hall. Winners will receive certificates, cash prizes, and online recognition.

Registration closes on 09-07-2025.
Results will be announced on 10-07-2025.
